GRANTS SUPPORT DELWOOD SCHOOL PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS
WHEATLAND (IOWA) Delwood Elementary School and the Delwood PTO have received a $250 Aureon Charity Grant along with a $250 matching contribution from F&B Communications to support improvements to the school playground. The funding will help install a pour-in-place rubber surface to replace the existing pea gravel, creating a safer and cleaner play environment for students. This donation adds to the generosity of many local supporters who are contributing to the project.
F&B Communications, the local telecommunications provider in Delmar, is one of more than 100 Iowa independent telephone company member‑owners of Aureon, an organization that helps provide advanced telecommunications and data services across the state.
Since the Aureon Charity Grant program began more than 25 years ago, nearly $46,200 has been awarded to organizations within the F&B Communications service area.
The charity grant program is open to nonprofit organizations located in the F&B Communications service area. Applications are available online. Grants are awarded quarterly and selected by an independent review committee organized by Aureon.
F&B Communications is the premiere local telecommunications provider offering telephone, long distance, high-speed fiber Internet, and home security services to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges and surrounding areas. The company also provides computer sales and service through its IT services division.
