GRANTS IMPROVE LIGHTING AT WHEATLAND COMMUNITY HALL

WHEATLAND (IOWA) Wheatland Community Hall is the recipient of a $250 Aureon Network Services Charity Grant, plus a $250 matching contribution from F&B Communications.

Grant funds will be used for electrical upgrades to lighting in the lower level of the community center. The Wheatland Community Hall is used for celebrations, meetings and other community functions.

F&B Communications, the local telecommunications provider in Lowden, is one of more than 100 Iowa independent telephone company member-owners of Aureon Network Services, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications and data services across the state.

Nearly $26,500 has been awarded to organizations in the F&B Communications service area in the last 25 years since the charity grant program began.

The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are available at the business office in Wheatland. Charity grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and chosen by an independent review committee organized by Aureon.

F&B Communications is the premiere local telecommunications provider offering telephone, long distance, Skitter TV video, high-speed fiber and DSL Internet, and home security services to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges and surrounding areas. The company also provides computer sales and service through their Technology Solutions retail store.
