GRANTS HELP BENNETT SCHOOL STRENGTHEN READING INSTRUCTION
WHEATLAND (IOWA) Bennett Community School has received a $250 Aureon Charity Grant and a $250 matching contribution from F&B Communications to enhance its literacy instruction. The funding will support the purchase of a new reading intervention program that provides data-driven lesson planning and real-time skill tracking, allowing teachers to focus more time on student instruction.
F&B Communications, the local telecommunications provider in Bennett, is one of more than 100 Iowa independent telephone company member-owners of Aureon, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications and data services across the state.
Nearly $45,700 has been awarded to organizations in the F&B Communications service area since the charity grant program began more than 25 years ago.
The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are availableĀ online. Charity grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and chosen by an independent review committee organized by Aureon.
F&B Communications is the premiere local telecommunications provider offering telephone, long distance, high-speed fiber Internet, and home security services to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges and surrounding areas. The company also provides computer sales and service through its IT services division.
